P2118 code after applying jumper cables on wrong terminals

My friend's battery died while picking up her kid from school. One of the teachers helped her jump her car but first put the cables on backwards (it was dark out so I won't fault the teacher). After the teacher corrected the issue the car started but was unresponsive when pressing the accelerator. I came by with a code reader, which read P2118. After searching the internet and reading about how people had to get their throttle bodies replaced, I finally found an article that said to check the fuses.

If you run into this situation, you might want to try to replace the fuse labeled ETCS in the engine compartment. It seems that this is a pretty common fuse to blow out in this particular situation in many Toyotas (maybe other brands as well?) so I wanted to pass the info along.

What kind of cars were dead, and used to jump the dead car?

Sorry to hear about your friend's car.

After fixing the fuse did the car respond to throttle adjustments via the pedal?

Oh geez...I didn't even say that I was successful. I just corrected my previous post. The fuse was the culprit and I was able to reset the CEL. It hasn't come on since.
I believe the car used to jump was a Vibe.

Just for everyone's info, the Vibe / Matrix are identical cars, just sold by GM and Toytota, respectively. I'm willing to bet the electronics are Toyota, so this would apply to alot of us, I would think.
