    MPG's over the years

Since day 1, I have kept a VERY detailed excel file of every little purchase related to this car, down to the screws for my sub box. Because of that, I also have every single fuel record, and average MPG of the car.

    For your viewing pleasure:

I use aCar for my Android phone and then copy/paste the info over into my excel when I get home.

On 10/30/2010 I installed my Fujita SRI, and ever since then, I haven't hit the higher MPGs I used too. I'm tempted to go back to stock, but I just enjoy the sound of it too much.

I'm with you there...ever since I swapped my TRD panel filter for a Perrin SRI I've noticed a drop in gas mileage. I typically get 29 or 30 mpg now, whereas before it was more like 33 or 34 easy. My driving has stayed consistent so I'm sure it's the intake and normal drop due to aging/wear on the engine.
Then again, Im not really concerned about gas mileage, as long as it doesn't plummet to something horrid, then there's something wrong. lol

Maybe when it's time to change the air filter, I'll go back to stock and continue my tracking for a year and see what happens.

That was October 2005. 11 months after I bought it.

    Good thread.

When are your spark plugs due to be replaced?
Also, on my tC I have a K&N Cold Air Intake pipe and an AEM Dryflow filter and it seems to get better fuel mileage.

They'll need swapped out in another 15k miles or so. This is the one car I've owned that I'm following maintenance to a T.
