I've been waiting to put my foglights in until I have HIDs for them. I noticed on this thread that people are worried about the heat in the foglights. Don't HIDs run cooler than halogen so that shouldn't be an issue?

Yes. I was trying to set up a group buy on another board, but not enough people bit. We also raised the price $10.. $210 for the kit.

They produce more heat, however we're yet to ear of a poor expierence with them.. Most people are running in the OEM fog light housings and not generic, realistically we don't suggest anything other then headlight housings.. Just because we're cautious doesn't mean that it won't work.. We just don't have sufficient direct knowledge of the specific application.

I have the 8000K's in my headlights and have the 8000K's here for the OEM fogs but have not had a chance to install them yet since I will definitely need to remove the front bumper cover and mount the ballasts to the bumper. When I get this done I will be able to shed a little light on the heat issue.
But I do remember reading about a few people over at scionlife that did their OEM fogs with no issues, so I'm basing my install from these people.

I just HATE seeing foglights that are a totally different color than the headlights. It just looks tacky.

Update to those wondering about the heat issues with HID's in the OEM fogs...

I've had the HID's in my headlights now for about 2 months and HID's in the OE fogs for about 2 weeks with no problems at all. And they look great. Pics:
